Based on what I saw at the grand, a vantage might not cut it. 😀

Just bought a June 2015 manufactured VF Holden Calais V with 6.0 V8, sunroof and black paint with cream leather interior.

Got the last one left in the country in that colour combo, and got it at a reasonable price as the series 2 is due out later this year.

Nice. I could handle having one of those to punt around in day to day.

Yeah, they are a nice bit of gear.

My current car is a 2011 ford g6e turbo, and has been fabulous, but I can no longer depreciate it enough, so it will be the wife's car now

I had owned every Calais except for the VE, and whilst enjoyed my last 4 years in a ford, looking forward to being back in a Calais, which is the last Holden will make.

I have suddenly decided to become a GDM fanboy. Currently looking for couple of 2004-ish BMW E46's for both me and missus.
Plenty about, just got to choose the right one.

I thought about a X5, but even a 2009/10 model is about the same as my new Calais, and would have warranty and costs a bomb to fix if it dies

my old mate Addam has a BMW wreckers business. Some people here know him.
Parts not necessarily so expensive, and he is a good source for advice. E46's can be purchased for around $6-7k

But of course the later model you get, the more expensive parts can be because there is less of them.

My wife and I both have BMW's, hers is a 2012 325i convertible and mine is a 2013 320D. I only got to drive it for 6 months before moving to Prague Now my 25 year old son is looking after it for me. The convertible is in storage where it gets run on rollers every month.

Got rid of the Territory back in Oct 2015.
Cost me one arm and one leg in suspension parts & bushes just to get through the roadworthy! Priced it to sell, and a car dealer snapped it up and shipped it back to Brisbane.

Ended up buying a 2012 Toyota Prado GXL Turbo Diesel Auto.
Had a touch under 90k on the clock at the time of purchase. Was a bargain at $35k.
18 months later, it's now got 125k on the clock, and hasn't missed a beat. Had the transmission serviced at 120k, fitted an ARB bullbar not long after I purchased it.
Just fitted a pair of Lightforce 240 XGT Spotlights, and a Rigid Industries lightbar. It's only a small lightbar, cost the previous owner $500, but man it cranks the light out. 100x better than the cheapo bars you get on Ebay.
Will be throwing the UHF into it this week, ready to launch into another trip back up to North QLD for a wedding.
It came fitted with some Bridgestone Dueler A/T's in Light Truck. Bit of overkill for me, as I'm rarely off the black-top.
Ended up fitting a set of Toyo Open Country U/T Tyres. Much smoother, quieter and better on fuel.
A great all-round vehicle. Perfect for long-distance travel, 150lt Diesel tank comes in bloody handy!

    Cheers

    - The Adventra was upgraded with a VFII SSV Sportswagon (cammed, custom exhaust, tuned etc)
    - Also sold the motard and my GSXR-750 but now have a 1928 Norton CS1 that I'm restoring.
    - Swapped the F100 for a 1.7T Kubota excavator to finish the landscaping at home and then sold that to free up some cash.
    - Will hopefully upgrade the Ranger later this year when I'm working again!
    - Still building the FC...

Yep 1UZ VVTI, currently in the process of mocking up the twin turbo set up and converting the 6 speed to a sequential shifter!

Any Kia Stinger owners here? How goes it so far?

I am more interested in the Genesis G70 that is running the same motors. I haven't found too much noise on the web so far about the Stinger. Only mechanical issues so far seem to be Front Brake Rotor wear.
