I was driving down the Ipswich motorway the other day and passed this immaculate Ford Cortina Lotus twin cam. It had a For Sale sign in the window and I can't be sure but I thought the price was $1250 !!!! I just about had an accident trying to write down the phone number whilst driving. Didn't manage to get the number in the end. What a classic car! I always wanted a Lotus twin cam Escort, but the Cortina would be just as cool. Same motor I believe. They actually removed the pushrods from the little Kent 1600 motor and bolted the Lotus head on top of it, then rigged up a timing chain for the overhead cams. Awesome stuff! The same little 1600 in my Escort was a cracker. I bored it out and put a Weber carb, 1/4 race cam, 4-2-1 extractors and 2 inch exhaust system on it. I miss my days as a pizza delivery guy in Woomby....
I am the proud owner of a brand new Mazda 3! This car is a fantastic buy. Before buying I compared it to the Mitsubishi Lancer & Ford Focus. For the money (about $1500 dearer than the other 2) it kills them. It is twice the car that either of the other 2 are. What more can I say... I love it!

Driving a 1990 Pulsar Q (N13 1.8L). Just pulled up 86,000km on it the other day Although it only had 47,000km when I bought it at Chrissy 2002. Goes suprisingly well.
I'm currently contomplating purchasing new/newer car. Thinking maybe Mazda3 SP23, 323 SP20, Pulsar SSS (N15). Just waiting for to spot a bargain

I co-own:
1996 Mitsubishi Magna sedan.... I love this car, so this one is mine.
1994 Toyota Lexcen sedan.... I hate this car, so this one is hubby's.
The only two other cars I have owned were a Holden Camira (hand-me-down from Mum and Dad ), and a 1995 Hyundai Excel (it was bright purple and a lemon... I will never buy from hyundai again... )
One day, I would really, really like to own a convertible.... but funnily enough, I have never been in one!!!
I saw a cute little Audi convertible the other day, and then yesterday I saw a cute Renault convertible....
Cheers,
Golfgirl

Kind regards,

nah, Barina, 121 etc are nerd/pizza boy/granny cars.
Hairdresser cars are those that look flash, but have no guts, like lancer, silvia.
Probably a fair analogy is a Golf Ho. Has flash looking gear but still plays crap.
Do they still make the Paseo? That was even more style over substance and I my hairdressing ex-girlfriend used to drive one.Originally Posted by BrisVegas

With good reason. Accord Euro is a quality car (not that your 6 is too shabby either). I'm flicking through the latest Wheels magazine where they did head-to-head comparisons of Japanese vs European cars.Originally Posted by AndyP

The Accord flogged the Audi. They should have put the Accord up against a 325i BMW.
