Lower launch driver

Hi All,

Quick question, given I have no time to do a 2 hour driver fitting, are there any general guidance on putting a driver together that will give me decent spin and lower launch?

I don't drive it far, probably 210-220 on a good day, but all my playing partner include the club pro has commented how high my driver is and potentially leaving distance on the table.

Feels like I get little to no roll.

It'll depend on what your setup is now.

The TM low spin / 'plus' heads have always worked well for me to knock spin off.

The new AI smoke triple diamond is supposed to be good for that too.

But the way you deliver the club is going to effect launch and spin.

The guy I played with yesterday hit his 10.5 flatter than my driver which is set down a lot.

Thanks Matt, my delivery is definitly a major factor for me.

Does shaft play a major role? or is it mainly the driver head?

I'm not a club fitter. But I think it's more the head re spin and launch than the shaft.

Shaft more feel and consistency in the club droop I would think.

Long drivers use AA flex and all online forum bombers (like me) use TX. It's just the way it is.
