Bob, I am recently using Srixon XV and finding they get really dull quickly? Now i am thinking that because its wet, and cleaning it a lot with a new navy blue towel, it might be the dye.

I lost the one I had too quickly to see if I got any noticeable backspin on full wedge shots into the green, all the holes I played with it didn't require a shot like that, but despite every description I've read it launched higher with the driver than the TP5x balls do which I didn't like. A couple were my own doing but not all. I'll grab a sleeve at some point and give them another go, at least I'll be able to keep going if I lose one.
Not something I've noticed. Although I've been using yellow XVs lately and white in the regular z stars (with no issues with them). Are you using the 2019 or new 2021 model?
It's funny how ball performance depends so much on the user & I guess their swing & clubs, etc. I've had people who were shocked when I said I didn't like the TP5x's durability, because fo them they're good.
I dont know what it is, its from ball winnings at the club. I assume latest but never checked. I cant lose them faster (and i lose balls every round) than i win them so I am stuck with them for now
Its a fair chance i am right about the towel, only noticed last round because the ball lasted the round. I was thinking surely it wouldnt lose so much whiteness, even more than ProV did before.

Took 50 years for mine to go grey.
If you want a ball that discolours, try the Wilson Staff Model R (otherwise a really good ball).
I used a regular z-star the other day for 9 holes, no discolouration, the usual scuffing. That's actually where the Model R shine - no paint to scuff, so they're actually really durable.
4 dozen more TP5X on sale from GCO.
I'm going to need another locker at the club to fit them all in.
Thanks, i think i worked it out, i have black gripmasters and the dye gets smudged on everything so I expect i get some on the ball too, I changed my ball touching and cleaning habits this weekend and they have stayed much whiter.
First person to make a silly comment, I will send a picture of them.

Just swapped the Tensei CK Orange into my TS3. Really enjoying the flight over the Smoke I had in previously. A lot more feel over the smoke, and I really feel I can get into a drive.
Very late to the party, but just picked up a Taylor Made Sim with Hzrdus Green 6.5. Haven’t used a TM driver for ages - I think the last one was an R1 (which I hated). Early signs are promising though, and the shaft feels great.
PING Glide 3.0. The spin retention in the wet intrigued me. TXG review I might add. Used to play all Ping and prolly played my best golf with them.

Not quite what I bought but what I managed to win. Was fortunate to have won the recent Cobra win a driver competition on Instagram. Today arrived a 10.5 degree RadSpeed driver with ProjectX Hzrdus Smoke Blue shaft in stiff flex.
