Wilson were one of the leading club makers on tour back in the 70's. They lost their way.

Hatchy, the thing that impresses me most is the quality of the build. First thing I did was a full spec check before I pulled the shafts:

Lie and loft within 0.5deg of spec.
Swingweight within 0.5pts of stated spec. And no tipweighting used in the build.
Length with 1/8" of stated spec.
Headweights within 3g tolerance of where I would expect them.

For a club that retails $100/club less than jpx919 forged, ap2, apex etc, I am mightily impressed.

I probably fall more into the anti-ho category but if I were to look at changing my gear the last things I would look at changing would be my irons. I'm still very happy with the FG Tour M3s, which the C300s look like a evolution of.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

I was sniffing around the Tour model blade on Saturday (which actually has a bigger profile than the V6 cavity) which are very nice. Saw the C300 forged while I was there and had a hit and was impressed. Nice to know they get built properly too. I wonder if you lucked into that Benno or if they actually are that good on the builds across the board.

Wilson was cool way before Gary Woodland, hell before Padraig Harrington came along. I used to have some FG17's a while back and along with a set of Staff Tour RM forged irons, they are still a couple of the best sets I've ever had.

Hope you like them. Would be interested to hear if you get any low spin bullets out of them.

I had both before they were cool, so there is a fair chance you're right.

    Which one do you have?

I was considering the Jason day model with flow neck, and no sight line.

Was using the Day one and will now try the black with sight line, different neck and firmer insert. The Red is a nice putter and i reckon the other will be too.
