Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

I used some pro shop credit to buy a sleeve of AVX golf balls. I don't really rate them, but my foursomes partner is on a tear, so figured I better get some practice in with his ball of choice. looking forward to going back to something with iron and wedge spin next week.

I hit the green and rolled into the water and it made me reload from the original shot, for instance.3. The graphics is not where other games are at for a 2020 game on a PS4 Pro. Thankfully that is not really critical for golf, but it does seem like it's almost a generation old. That aside, it's worth the 69 bucks. The way the greens work and how the swing works are still as slick as The Golf Club.
I have been getting frustrated with the bloody updates and seeing the same replay of pro shots till I figured out you could turn that shit off. Not so annoying now lol

Rife Rival RFX in mint second hand condition. I was surprised that it doesn't feel as soft as my Switchback though.

Yeah I have hit them , the biggest surprise was my driver at D0
    3w is fine at D3
    Hybrid is D2
    4 iron D3
    5 iron D1
    6 is D1
    7 is D1
    8 jumps to D4
    9 is D2
    PW is D2.5
    52 is D4 and 58 is D 5.5
So the Driver is probably light and the irons are not progressive , any ideas?

And this probably should be in the club makers thread , sorry

I think D2 is regarded as std or normal or it used to be.
So much has changed what is std really now?

Did a little googling which seems to suggest D0 is round about normal for off the shelf clubs.
Most of the off the self stuff I've bought and checked has been around D2.

If you are hitting them well, it doesn't really matter. Which clubs work well, and which don't?
