The Golf Club game is good. The real bonus is all of the user created courses - some are incredible. You literally have access to thousands.

There is an updated version due out in a two months. I picked up the 2019 version dirt cheap from the Playstation store a couple months ago. Very good for the price.

I played Golf Club 2 on the Xbox, and couldn't get into it. I found the putting frustrating on some greens, and could find any online tournaments to play.

I have it on PS4, don't mind it myself. It doesn't have any meters or whatever telling you how much power to use on shots so I suppose it's more like reality trying to figure it out yourself, especially with the putting. Heaps of courses (you can also design your own), can play in tournaments on career mode or online societies; I prefer the latter because the opponents are real people. Drawbacks for me are that you can't play against an opponent and have them on course with you, unless you subscribe to an add-on that allows it. You can add opponents but they're just ghosts, so it's just a ball flying around by itself. Also with the equipment, you never get any extra distance or the ability to put more spin on the ball or whatever from gaining experience, can't buy different clubs or balls. There are only different difficulty levels with the clubs. The higher difficulty clubs go further but are harder to hit straight. I'm still using beginner level clubs for that reason. Those drawbacks don't really take away from my enjoyment though. It's a bit of fun during the week or at night when I can't go and play for real.

I've got it on xbox one, and think it's great. Using expert clubs there's enough reward for good "swings" while punishing bad ones. I also think they've done a great job with the putting - "feel" and speed matters as much as swing length, making it quite rewarding.

I've also got the simulator version with my skytrak, but that's obviously a different beast.

That's the problem I have if I use the pro or master clubs, the swing line thing is so narrow, most of the time it goes off line, bit like my real life golf 😂

Not sure if its that much better than Links LS 20 years ago, but its much easier to access more courses.

The realism of some courses I have tried is pretty good, except that too often they dont seem to get changes in elevation right, the designer makes them a lot flatter than they really are.
The other difference is trees and off the fairway junk is often a lot less than they really are.

Overall I am glad I purchased it. Its just so much fun to play the courses that I have actually played on.

For you guys that have it, definitely have a crack at Tobacco Road. They got the terrain elevations spot on with this one, and such an interesting course. I only played it once, but can remember every hole, shot and score. Yet other courses I played that same week I remember stuff all, like Pinehurst no 2.

So you bought Golf Club, and not Golf Club 2? Maybe I missed something when I played it.

I got the golf club 2019, I think it's the third and latest version. Now they're advertising a new one called 2k21 or something.

Good idea. If we do that do we have to wait for other players to hit. That would annoy me 🤣

After buying a Titleist 907D2 a couple weeks ago, I thought I'd go back even further and get a 975J. Although this one won't be in the regular bag but instead join my retro set including the tour model blades. It's in near mint condition including the headcover so I couldn't pass it up.

A set of raw forged Corey Paul wedges, they'll need to be re-shafted but I can't wait to get them in hand.

Haven't used it yet but fits like a... ummm.... Well... Glove

If it holds up I'll be happy.

The last few I've had were cheap synthetic things by optima I got when my in-laws had a surf and sport shop (was mostly clothing with a few bits and pieces) the outer on those gloves perished in less than a round, not just the palms and fingers but on the back as well.

I've got a h85 3 hybrid on the way. Gives me a bit of flexibility with my bag make-up depending on course/conditions - a 3h and 4h that go higher but maybe a bit less accurately than a 3u and 4i that are lower, a little bit shorter (carry) but don't go as far offline on bad swings.

How much did you pay for it, if you don't mind me asking? Some of the ebay listings are quite marked up compared to the in-store price.

    $17.99

No idea on store price but not joining up for 1 glove. Live a good 2hr drive from nearest Costco and rarely venture near there anyway so have never really looked into it.

Fair enough. About $25 for the 3-pack in store. Send me a PM when you want more, postage will be cheap if I take them out of the packaging.
