worth calling around the pro shops when clubs are being Superceeded?

I haven't bought a club off Ebay for years. The commencing prices are completely out of whack - I did a scan of recently concluded listings a month of so ago and over 95% of clubs were not bid on at all.

I can buy cheaper second hand from my local proshop, which leads me to conclude that lots of pros are throwing stuff up on there with hugely inflated prices in the vague hope that some sucker will buy them while simultaneously having them at a much lower price on their own floor.

They use GT as well. We’ve got a couple local shops that unload a ton of their gear on the marketplaces.

They’ve killed eBay (well, ebay helped make its own bed with huge fees)

Just managed to snag a $2000 Mac Mini M2 Pro for $1571 (by also going through the Apple Education Store, they rarely check, especially for delivered items) using the 15% education discount, then 15% off that price with the gift cards.

Handy if you're after a new watch or phone or Mac as Apple stuff doesn't tend to go on sale that much, especially up to 15% off...
