Someone must have alerted the seller or he did some research.

A full set of Ping BeCu irons are as rare as rockinghorse shit. The $100 initial asking price, was a steal

Genuine question related to the title - has anyone seen any decent (golf related) bargains on Ebay in recent years?

I have given up looking as almost all listings are dramatically over-priced (evidenced by the fact that the item is often listed over and over again). They appear to be higher than what I can find in my local proshop, and without any of the support that buying there will provide. Even what I think would be a reasonable price is few and far between - am I missing something, or has the market completely fallen over?

I have but they've been few are far between. The only deals I see now are buy it now auctions that don't last long.

Probably because ebay selling fees are so high now, sellers load up the price to cover that

It's what I have been doing for some items. Different list price than Marketplace.

Yeah same here. Everything gets an Ebay fee markup.

I think that I bought a set of the Align MCC grips from this seller through gumtree for $100.

they LOOK authentic, and play fine, but the ones which came on my Mizuno irons do appear SLIGHTLY different....

if the bloke is selling fakes, he should be cut off immediately by Ebay/Gumtree.

I thought $100 was too good to be true for 13 grips!

Just had another close look and the $100 Align grips are definitely fake ones. VERY CREDIBLE fake ones, but that is annoying. I will get them replaced for peace of mind

Do they work PG? If so why replace them.

i had a mate who bought himself a Scotty.
putted the spots off it for months. A playing partner told him it was fake!
The guy took it out of his bag and hasn’t holed a putt since!

I agree 100% with this - if they are working OK, I wouldn't replace them until you need to.

As I noted earlier, I bought a set expecting them to be fakes and they were. But they were actually pretty good, and I didn't have any problems in using them. I did end up replacing them with something else, but the actual quality wasn't too bad.

Edit: I should also note that I am pretty much a grip-agnostic. I don't care if they match across the bag, and I have found that so long as they give enough grip but equally don't tear my delicate little hands to shreds, I am good to go. Shafts on the other hand ...

Ironically, if his price was a bit higher he would sell a bundle. The low price looks too good to be true. THat all said, he should be banned.

I guess they think this is a bargain considering the price sticker on the packaging says $169.

Not eBay but the Nike shop at DFO Brisbane airport have these https://www.nike.com/au/t/jordan-adg...WP8/CW7242-001 in size US 8.5 on special for $84. There are about 5 pairs there, sorry I didn’t look for others sizes.

I'm almost certain Jamie had a club with a Dreamers shaft. Came in its own neoprene bag

He asked me to swap the grip on it when he was living in Melbs

Horrible fake Circle T putter cover, the stitching is a dead giveaway.
