hes whacked 10 drivers on there and not one will be sent!!

like I said its actually better to receive nothing than it is to receive a fake.....

I don't have to send anything for verification or prove its fake....hes sent me nothing...hes done a runner with everyones cash......

and like I said I knew the odds...Im not the least bit suprised so no it it hasnt changed anything towards ebaying buying...far from it.....

It was 100% obvious that the driver on offer was not real, but you bought it anyway on the off chance. The off chance of what? Seriously, that's not how you make porridge! I presume that the only thing that would have stopped you buying it was if it was being offered by an asian site?

I couldn't care less how you feel about it dave, if you hadn't spruiked it, I would not have even known about it. My point of challenge is that buying an obvious fake is not smart at all, even if Paypal covers you on this occasion. It would be like doing something silly in your car because you have car insurance, or sticking your head in a Lion's mouth because you have medical insurance. Why bother? why help screw it up for everyone else? I mean you have spruiked yourself as an expert on Ebay buying, yet you do something dumb like this? great example for others!

i must be missing something.
i don't see how paypal/ebay can refund everyone who gets ripped off.
and if they do, and we then continue to frequent obviously fake sellers, doesn't this encourage paypal/ebay to change their policy and thereby make online auctions riskier in the long term?

If this sort of stuff keeps happening they are going to want to get there money back thru higher ebay fees or making paypal cover an extra cost. It will be just like insurance, if too many people abuse it everyone will pay higher premiums to cover it.
