Yeah I have some 04, 05 and 06 reserves in waiting. Will prob add a few 07s at that price.

And under 20 bucks for the normal Shiraz is about as good as it gets, along with the Cimicky of course

07 Fox Creek Red Baron Shiraz Tonight, what a cracker, needs some time to settle down but it's goooooood alcohol poking out a bit and will take some time for the oak to intergrate but the fruit is well and truly there for the long haul.

Gonna be some table lifters coming from maclaren vale and the barossa.

    get on it adlo

Zig, andigold, time for a tip.

I just made a bet with a mate. I have given him 10 years for his beloved Freo Dockers to win a flag.

The prize is a nice bottle of wine. If Freo wins, he takes the wine. If I win, it is in 10 years and I have a lovely aged bottle of red.

So, what can you suggest for $40-50 that I will enjoy drinking in 10 years? He has no chance.

Interesting this bet has re-surfaced after the game tonight. Some very talented young players in the Dockers line up mate. Even though they lost and haveonly won three games to mid-season. Always positive signs ahead.

    Today.....

06 Chapel Hill Shiraz, an Andigold special.

Lovely stuff, quite vanilla-y and really smooth and flavoursome.
    Good stuff Andi

never drunk VB, music taste doesn't equate to alcohol tastes.

    Nice try

I would be sipping down a big, bold Shiraz. Too much for the lightweights.

Just ploughing through a bottle of Montrose Black Shiraz (2006) from Mudgee.
I'm not big on the oozing wine talk so i prefer it short and sweet in the write up about a new bottle - Lovely.
So good i am off tomorrow to buy a dozen to let lie for as long as it takes me to drink them.

Normally I drink metho, but the hardware shop had run out, so toddled off to Dan Murphy's picked up an 06 Glaetzer Bishop. It was nice.
