I'm happy to change this to the week after closer to town if this suits. Johhny and I are due to a weekend away. Thought I'd try to get the ball rolling with the Rosebud game. Easy for us to get our game done at anytime.
Larry - can you commit to the follwing weekend? Does this suit you Andy?
Anyone else around then?
I can see this becoming difficult to get underway - again.

I'm OK until the 31st May then the Spring Valley cup starts and it's every Sunday until the end of July. Of course we may get knocked out in the 1st round so I could be available again.
Want to play me at Spring Valley this Sunday Larry?

IIRC, Bruce lives in Caulfield?
Swanny, I'm working near Sunshine at the moment. We can have an afternoon round during weekday if it suits you. (Sunshine golf club? Kooringal? I'm not even that far from Sanc Lakes actually).
Anyone played Sunshine GC recently?

Bruce is over the bridge in (I think) Newport. I live in Caulfield South Vincent so you may have mixed us up.

That's right Andi.
Sunshine is alright tee to green but things are getting pretty baked and ordinary off the fairways and the bunkers always seem to be being repaired. The front 9 is good - the back 9 has some 'serenity' issues.

Z,
I'd love to play you at BD, I'll be in Tassie in October and hoping to get there for a hit then.
Are you in rural Vic?

This may well be the first and last time i play Barny, so i hope i can play some decent golf or at the very least some nice golf shots to remeber the course by.

What do you mean.
I thought it was self explanatory and everyone has basically said the same thing a group day is why it's so hard to get things completed.
So i asked chappy to play here or i'll go to where chappy is, simple?

Can't make Rosebud on the 17th - sorry.
Busy on the weekend 9th/10th May, but just about any other Sunday is ok.
Swanny - if you want a match during the week, if it's easier for you than a weekend, I'm happy to do that too.
If you start out depressed everything’s kind of a pleasant surprise.
WITB: stuff.

I would have been keen - but I've already got some mates coming down for a hit down here. Bummer. I don't think my game would have held up against a local on a course of that standard, but I would have given it a go.
Reading through this thread, it does appear like we would be a chance of getting something off the ground somewhere in or around Melbourne on Sunday the 24th.........

OK, another suggestion. How about a Mother's Day round next Sunday?
Let's face it. Mother's Day is as soul-less and over-commercialised as Valentines day and should be boycotted at all costs. You'd be much better served getting a round of golf in on a day when half of the poor saps in the golfing community are stuck at home pandering to a ridiculous tradition. Imagine those empty fairways, just waiting for the revolutionary types to throw off the shackles of this silly faux-holiday and stick it to the man.
Andi? Anybody?

My mum's dead so I'm up for golf. I've got a 12.11 tee time at Spring Valley with my son, does it suit you to play there & then Larry?

12.11 at Spring Valley (Graham Rd, Clayton South) off the 1st Tee, $55 member guest rate. You're playing with Andrew & Matt Goldfinch. See you then Larry.
