I have PM'd Zig and it appears that we may have to flip a coin to get this match played as it is challenging for Zig to get to Melbourne and near impossible for me to get to rural Vic. I think we are both comfortable with that outcome.

Can anyone suggest a fair way that we can decide the winner (other than playing the match outright), I'm conscious of the VIC members poor track record of getting this thing played and neither Zig or myself want to be the road block.

    Any suggestions

Aren't all in the matchplay from metro-Victoria, except for zigwah? Won't this same problem pop up in the next round (played in 2011)?

    I am not from Melbourne.

    Wash your mouth out.

Toolish opted out through a similar situation seeing as he's 7 hours away from Melbourne. I'm yet to see the FNV Matchplay thread, but I'm assuming he's home and hosed.

LL, I am still reigning Vic mathcplay champ (carry over from 07 as far as I can tell 08 never got completed) and undefeated in ozgolf matchplay.

If you are from a rural areas being part of the matchplay is near impossible, was hard enough living in Geelong and being involved.

I guess my house is in the Melways, but Regional Victoria is more accurate.

Loving the idea of Chappy and Zigwah duking it out through the fortunes of their respective footy teams. You couldn't be any more Victorian than that.

No, but you can join Bruce and I at Goonawarra on Sunday to do your matchplay round.

So Kev & Swanny, Bruce & Vincent still need to get it on to finish the first round.

I have footy finishing this weekend with the grand finals so I'm keen to organise another pleasant Sunday arvo at Spring Valley for some 2nd round matches in October if anybody's keen.
