It was so embarrassing to be beaten by a bloke that had 3 shanks. I am going to make amends for that.

What are you on about, no shanks that day dude. A couple of cold tops yes, but no rockets. I did enjoy playing the last 4 holes 1 under of the stick though under pressure

The Golfers arrived at Riverlakes, for the Premiere Match of the Season, Laurel (blake) v. Hardy (gcswinger) and a couple of sheilas (Baz, Rusty)joined in to make it a foursome.

The First hole, 240m Par 4, and Laurel has the honour.

and Laurel nails a 4 iron down the centre of the fairway

The golfers traded wins over the next 6 holes, not a lot of excitement except when Laurel holed a 25m putt for a birdie on the 5th even though 3 putts would have been good enough, and when Hardy took two to get out of the bunker on the 4th, but still managed to scrape out an easy win on the hole.

Then to the 8th tee, and thats when the trouble really started. Poor Hardy couldnt take a trick, 3putts from 4 feet, tree trouble, chips, putts, more trees, and chips. Laurels Par, Bogey, Birdie, Par was good enough to win 4 on the trot to be 5 up after 11 holes.

Both golfers ended up visiting the water a few times

but thats where the match stayed, with Laurel winning 5/4.

The match was played in great spirits - there were no dirty match play tricks, or gamesmanship - at all .......
