Personally, if I played the Friday, I'd play another course.

playing the course pre-champs is cheating. But I'd be up for a hit somewhere else that day as I typically make it a 3-dayer...

    Pac Harbour anyone?

    SNAP!

I just suggested playing their Friday due to logistics, especially for our southern neighbours.

I can fit another 3 in my car on the way to Beerwah. I can drop them off at Australia Zoo on the way back too.

SOO II would be a Friday certainty.

The format is yet to be decided, although we will call in the Cricket Australia selectors to help make it NSW biased.

Will anybody be playing the Qld Mid-Amateur in Sept (I think)? That will be practice enough.

FWIW, I'm working on a rate for Pac Harbour through my golf course GM chain of command.

    That's not a warm up.

Surely you have to build confidence heading into a big event, not absolutely destroy it.

we played it off the equivalent of the white tees anyway, those fairways were like airport runways.

I'll most likely be down early enough for a round on Friday. I've heard good things about Pac Harbour, so I'll be keen to play there if that's what the consensus is.

I still remember when G69 gave us a walk around at Pac Harbour while under construction. Onewood hit driver driver on the par 4 18th onto the green.
