Default Location of Ecco retailers in South-East Qld?

    Guys,

I'm in the market for a second pair of golf shoes. My current Eccos have performed that well that I'd like to stick to that brand. The only Ecco retailer I know of is the pro shop at Victoria Park (Brisbane) but their range is very limited.

Does anyone know of other retailers of Ecco golf shoes in South East Queensland (preferably Brisbane)?

EDIT: Failing that, an Australian e-tailer of Ecco??

There was a shop at Sanctuary Cove that had a big range of Ecco's.

Not the golf course but down in the village. Was pretty exxy$$$$

Not sure if it is still there??

Thanks oscar. I'd expect that they'd be a bit exxy at Sanctuary Cove. I've since found an obscure section of the Ecco website which indicates that Indooroopilly sells ecco as well as Victoria Park.

    A couple of questions flow.

    (1) To any Indooroopilly golfers out there. Have you noticed if the pro shop carries much of a range of ecco?

    (2) To any other ecco-phile out there. Do you know of any Australian online retailer of ecco golf shoes?? (I've drawn a blank there).

    All assistance appreciated.

I haven't noticed, they certainly have a decent swag of FJ and adidas, which is all I've noticed at this stage.

I'll check it out in the next couple of days and let you know.

have you ever had a pair of FJ's? I swear buy them and for the price of the Eccos you could get a decent model like Dryjoys or Reelfits. I won't wear anything else but don't just take my word for it. Others feel free to contribute Ecco or FJ has anyone worn both? Comments welcome.

Yes, I have. I tried footjoy, Nike Tour 360 and my eccos. Both ecco & footjoy were very comfortable. They're both quality shoes. A couple of little extras that stood out with the ecco shoe was that it is completely waterproof because of a Gore-Tex® membrane within the leather. Also, it has a gusseted tongue whereas footjoy does not. The gusseted tongue stops rubbish making its way into the shoe through the tongue area.

On the day, I got a great deal on the ecco because it was the prior season's model, so I went with that brand & I've never looked back.

lt's apparent that ecco has less retailers in Aust than footjoy. So if I couldn't find a decent retailer of ecco then I'd look at footjoy. One thing though, I could never come at those footjoy reelfits. I just can't get over that knob sticking out the back of the shoe.

For the time being, I'm looking to ecco first & if I can't source one at a decent price, I'll look at footjoy.

    Check out the Etonic Difference.

    http://www.etonic.com/golf/golf_shoe....php?ID=men_3z

I picked up a pair from Amart for $100 and another pair from Ebay US for about $55. The Difference is Etonics top of the range shoe and retails for $159US on the Etonic site.
    They are a quality shoe.

Sorry mate. No go at Indro. As expected there are a thousand pairs of FJ, a dozen or two of adidas and that's it. Not a single ecco to be found.

gazgolf, objectively speaking, how would you rate it compared to footjoy?
