Default Ozgolf Player of the Year 2009 RESULTS

Ozgolf Player of the Year 2009 (the Money List)

Player of the Year 2009 - AndyP
Player of the Year 2008 - Rusty
Player of the Year 2007 - BrisVegas
    Player of the Year 2006 - Peter_RS
Player of the Year 2005 - BrisVegas
Player of the Year 2004 - Iain

The winner will be declared the OZgolf Player of the Year and the holder of the Golden Club.

    How it works

    1. Prize money is based on the size of the round and a standard 18 hole round. You win $1000 for handing in a score, plus $1000 for every player you beat. Only Bona Fide Ozgolf.net registered members are eligible and counted for the prize pool. The event winner gets a 50% bonus. Nett scores only. $1000 for an NCR, if there is a valid reason, otherwise $0. AGU count used for ties of 1st.
    eg. 4 in the field.
    1st $6000 (4000+2000)
    2nd $3000
    3rd $2000
    4th $1000

1a. Prize money for a mulitround event is awarded as method 1. for the total result and each round result gets 1/(number rounds) of the money set out in method 1.
eg for a 36 hole event, round 1 & round 2 get 1/2 the normal money and the total pass as normal.

    2. An Ozgolf day is defined as an event that is posted to the 1st Tee forum with an open invitation for everybody to join in, and where typically one person handles all the bookings

    3. Scores are taken from 1st tee forum at Ozgolf.net only. One person at each golf day needs to record the nett scores and the exact Ozgolf usernames. List scores in order. Scores must be clearly posted in first post.

    4. No limit to number of games or course played. Minimum field for an Ozgolf day is 2 Ozgolf.net website members.

    5. To be eligible for the Player of the Year award the Ozgolfer must have purchased an Ozgolf Shirt or made a donation to the Ozgolf website/community.

    6. The year concludes with the Annual Ozgolf Championships or the 31st December whichever occurs first.

    7. In the event of a Tie, a countback will apply, by counting the number of 1st places, If still a tie, 2nd places, and so on. If tie cannot be seperated a joint award will be made.

    FAQ
    Whats a Bona Fide Ozgolfer?
Someone that is (or will be) a regular contributor or someone that we all know and love.

Why do we have to use Ozgolf Nicknames, everyone knows who Jim, Pete , Dave and Mark is?
There is at least two Jim's two Petes, two Dave's and four Mark's, how hard do you wanna make it.

Any questions, arguements, suggestions? Fire away.

If you think a round is missing please have a look, if all the result are not in a 1st thread don't bitch

It shows how few OZgolf days there are now, when I don't play golf too much, but still have the second most OZgolf games.

Perhaps you haven't taken notice of who has won it in the past? The answer is no.

Minimal games to an already low count here in NSW. Most games nowadays organised by PM here in NSW.

Yeah, we have been playing a fair bit over in the west, but mainly arranged by email or PM.

There are plenty that don't get on here too. The Nudgee crowd could put in 2 or 3 games a week. I am surprised that I have had 8, I guess there have been a few with only 3 golfers or something?

    Table updated in head post
    -Missed one game.
-Shazza asked for the NZ games to be removed.

Let me know if there is more.

I was going to add the FNQ matchplay when all matches were done based on the total points.

There are alot NCR's this year.

QLD matchplay will be a major factor again as 2-6 are still alive.

How did my money go backwards from yesterday, after adding another round and taking away the Kiwi rounds?
