I played 9 off the social tees with my neighbour yesterday arve in constant drizzle on a very heavy track. My Footjoy wet weather glove was a godsend... After scrambling to a bogey on the first hole, I parred the next 8 holes. I'm not reading too much into the score as there is a huge distance advantage on some of the holes, but I'm encouraged by the consistency of my ball-striking.

39 pts today... Put the Hibore XL back in the bag in place of the 905S and while not as long the mishits were definitely a touch straighter.

Started the day with a bird from 2 feet so was feeling pretty good about things and the short game work has been paying off and some good U&D's (for me) were had. Again have to say I choked coming home though... triple (wipe), bogey (2pts) after birdie on 16 got me back to only 4 over... grrr

39pts (2 wipes, both holed out) - 80 off the stick
5/14 fairways (plus a few just a couple yardsoff)
    9/18 GIR
    31 putts (7x1, 2x3)
    3/7 U&D
    1/1 sand save
    3 birds
    7 pars
    6 bogies
    1 double
    1 triple

Should finally be back down to a 10 hcap after blowing out to 11 from a low of 9 part way through last year.

Hopefully things are turning around a bit now.

29 points today. Same as last week. I got nuthin at the moment. No golf now til the Wynnum Cup, so hopefully I will have forgotten all this crappy golf by then.

Went for a nice drive this arvo out thru Fernvale and up over Mt Nebo & Mt Glorious. Havent done that road in 10 years, and that was on a dodgey 250cc bike with choppa. Geez I wish my Focus was the XR5 turbo.

A load of rubbish in the monthly medal today for 87, nett 78. And I parred the last four holes to record that. Every bad shot got penalised, but there were simply too many bad shots. A total inability to get up and down didn't help.

    Fairways = 8 of 14
    Greens in reg = 6 of 18
    Putts = 34 one 3putt, zero birdies
    Up&Down = 1 of 7
    Sand Saves = 2 of 4
    1 penalty shot

Dropped 5 shots in last 5 holes in the medal at Albury today, playing back 9 first. Missed too many fairways & greens. Poor course management. Shot 79 (72).

Went for a casual nine this arvo.
    I shot 45 with 15 putts. 2 Pars, 5 Bogeys, 1 Double (Water) 1 Triple (Trees)
A few wayward drives, Iron play was not at it's best today either.
Was happy with putting, had some long-range monsters today.
Pitching was better, finally sorted my wedge play out. Tangled with a few trees, but recovered well.

Wife shot a 62. Same as last week, needs to work on her putting. Everything else is falling into place nicely.

Am now on 2 weeks leave, so I hope to get a few more games in.

Has a social hit with a mate at Northlakes today in very gusty conditions.

    Played Caboolture Single Stab today.
    30 Pts 4 wipes
    4 Greens (missed 6 buy about 1m)
    7 Fairways
    33 Putts
    1 Birdie
    4 Pars
    8 Bogeys
    5 Doubles

Not as bad as it looks, hit some nice shots today but just can't hole a putt
Got to get rid of these 3-4 bad holes I keep having each round.

Bugger, just checked Golflink and found out I was DQ.
    No idea why

73-74, 147 gross at Yowani over the weekend in the Yowani Open to finish 5th (5 shots back). Kind of satisfying shooting servicable scores when really not playing great. Kind of...

4 bogeys each day. Too many.

i was in the fairway off every tee shot... you work it out where my problem area is....

although 3 putting every second green probably didn't help the score much
