Sorry, i think you'll find that you're alone here A-Ho. I don't record putts per green, let alone putts per lifetime.

I think your obsession is becoming unhealthy.

Have played : not often enough
Have hit : too many bad shots
Have lost : less balls than I have won in the ball comp
Have : about the same number of clubs as Aloho, but my numbers are DECREASING
Have : shanked approximately 15 balls through the shed door whilst chipping in the backyard
Have : had bugger all improvement in my game and hope to play better for the next 365 days.
Have : a new putter ready for the weekend

    You forgot;

Drank: (on average) 4 beers after each round
    Gambled: $2 on Keno
Called: Wife 2 times after each round explaining why you are unfit to drive home....

Hitted: may be 10,000 balls (Including driving range, practice and golf course.)
    Lost: 20 balls approx.
Been to range: may be 20 times
    Had 1 lesson
    Have too many clubs
    Played: may be 20 courses
    Best score 76
    Worst score approx around 105

Andy, you are losing on average 8 balls per game, no wonder you find it hard to break 100 when you have 16 penality shots per game.

Hit how many golf balls??? can't be bothered counting
Lost maybe 20 golf balls, retired more
Been to range maybe driving range maybe 10 times (not including on course facilities)
    Been with 1 coach (jaster)
    Played 3 courses for a total of 21 x 18 hole rounds
Teed off in near darkness to get to work by 7-7.30 and worked to 6 or later way to often (but if it's the only way to play you do it right)
    Have 17 clubs
And I believe that I have never ever played any top 100 course never ever.

Between the range and courses that means you play golf more than 5 days a week. I don't know how you do it andylo. I'm desperate to improve but just cannot get that kind of time to practice. I'm calling you vj from now.

    Hit: 3000 balls (maybe?)
Lost: Temper, 30 balls probably more but my ego won't let me admit it.
    Driving range: Maybe 10 times
Coaches: 0 officially but every friggin' old codger you play with gives you advice.
Played: 7 courses, 0 at my home club (City - Toowoomba)
Improvement: zero, zilch, nada. In fact have gone backwards.
Clubs: At home: 8 clubs; In transit: 8 clubs, 3 heads, 5 shafts, At clubmakers: 2.

In the end, it's only a game where we hit a ball in a hole, take it out, hit it again, walk after it, hit it again, and again, and again...

A-Lo, I concur with everyone else. You're dangerously obsessed. You're either going to become a very good golfer, or a raving lunatic.

So A-Ho, that's something like a little over 1000 balls every 3 days. Considering you get 100-120 in a full basket at the range, you're hitting 3-baskets a day (or 10 every 3rd day).

How on earth have you come up with this number?!

Geez Andylo, I don't know whether to laugh or cry.... We don't obsess over golf that much in our house, and there are two of us!

But anyway, to answer your questions:

Hit: An awful lot - 5,500 maybe (not including practice)
Lost: An awful lot (maybe 50 odd)
Coach: I live with him - it doesn't help much (hope he doesn't read this!)
Clubs: Technology isn't the answer (but I still have nearly two complete sets.... I think I need a new driver.... )
Played: Many courses - most of them goat tracks, with the odd gem thrown in for good measure. (NSW was the highlight this year)
Collection of Golf books and magazines: rapidly expanding.....

Guess I'm not quite the junkie that I thought I was.....
    Cheers,
    Golfgirl

Andy. Sounds you you practice and play golf full time and fit in the odd bits of work in between. The driving range owner must love you. they must give you special discount for the amount of balls you go thru.

$3.50 per 100 balls, hows that sound Tony.

Fishy, in one stage I hit 1000 balls at least per day and it continue for about 2 months until my gf really pissed... and my palm going to fall apart the same time (and ended to go to accupuncher)

Was the palm problem due to golf or the annoyed girlfriend?

Andy. If you are hitting that many ball and not playing to single digit handicap, you are practicing the wrong thing. I suggest you should practicing more with your wedges first, and go to the longer clubs after you mastered the short clubs.

    "Been with: 5 coaches"

    In 12 months

What, just one lesson with each? Be interested to hear
the back ground story on this Andy.
You gotta give teachers a chance.....unless they were of
