Yeah, 13th is one of my favourite par 3's. Is index 1 so the handicap is good to me there.

Ticked off Mt Lawley Yesterday. The Front 9 was SUCH a STRUGGLE, I didn't really get a chance to take in the course (probably Because I wasn't on it much, plenty of Pretty Tress though.)
Greens and Fairways were Soft as which was disappointing but understandable with the weather. Liked the Elevation Changes which was great in working out which club to hit and enjoyed the back 9, perhaps because I played it Better.
Found the Bunkering a bit Same Same, with a Bunker Short Right and Short Left on the Majority of holes. Liked most of the Par 3's I admit, and the short 13th being really fun, with a front Pin and wind behind. Liked the Approach and Green on 11, after you get over the hill. Actually I enjoyed the stretch of Holes 11-14, some tough holes there, but different ways to play the Same hole.

I like Mr Lawley, a course a driver off the tee isn't the only option. A bit of shot play is required too.

Looks like a Vines day should be scheduled. Perhaps make a day of it and do 36 holes.

In two or four weeks, will let you know.
For those interested, Kennedy Bay has a $25 special for 18 holes (midweek only) through to 31 July. Was advertised in the local paper so you need to mention "Weekend Courier Taster Offer" when you book.

Was it in the Weekend Kwinana Courier Ashes?
Will take you up on that one day. I can't believe you can get on that course for $25. I thought Binningup was great value but thats just mental, considering what the hack tracks like Whaleback etc charge.
EDIT - sorry GN, yeah it was the Weekend Courier that circulates through Rocki/Kwinana.
I get on for about $1600 a year!Originally Posted by Ashes

I reckon the guest rates is out of whack with the membership rate. If you're playing once a week, you're effectively paying over $30 a round and guests are getting on for less than that...
Still, $1600 is great value compared to elsewhere, even if it doesn't have a proper clubhouse yet.

Yeah but i throw the odd Wednesday round in there, can walk on any time to play 9 or practice around the course, allows me to play Saturday mornings (they've banned guests Saturdays now - blame Simmsy), $350 is bar levy ( so only about 1200 is fees) and gives me a golflink (pgn charges $150).Originally Posted by Ashes
I did the some and it was easily worth it pre-child and i still see the other benefits, even if may It not work out value for money.
