I preferred it when the there was scrub either side of the hill down to the lower level, now its a boring tee shot from the blues. Personal preference is to keep at the upper level and have a 7/8iron in rather than a wedge up the hill.

My opinion as a member is that they've cleared too much away on some of the dune holes. The tee shot on Dune 3 is horrible now after they took out all the quarry/rocks down the right side of the fairway and clearing behind the 7th green (par 3) has ruined the character of that hole.

They haven't removed the bush and rocks on the left side of that tee
Why exactly do I need to answer to you?

Absolutely not. Cape Schanck was a ****ing doddle, a pleasant stroll, an orgasmic delight, in comparison to this place.

So when are we getting the full review Lefty?? Keen to hear.

I have played the Cut, I did enjoy it because: 1. I got a massively discounted rate, and 2. I didn't know how highly it was "rated" before I went there.

Nope, but the original design was quarry on both sides. It's a joke now

Does anyone know what condition Secret Harbour is in at the moment? Other than the bunkers that are never raked!

I played it a little under a month ago, it was coming off a core and should be decent now.

The fairways were a bit patchy with a lot of weeds / crabgrass, which surprised me a bit.

Played it early November and the greens had come back pretty good.

    Agree about fairways.

Just an update for the Albany GC.

I have been a touch disappointed recently as our stellar condition has not quite been there.....but....

The Wittenoom Cup week of golf started today and finishes next Sunday...and the greenkeepers have outdone themselves.

Course is in AMAZING Condition. Greens are still a touch underdone as it recovers from a dose of Dollarspot we got last year. There is maybe one...possibly 2 I would consider ripping up and starting again but that is if your after perfection.

The rest are pretty damn nice running very well.

If your in the area, its probaly the best the course will be all year. Worth a look.

    Hi there,

Staying in WA for a Golf-Holiday. It will last all February. Already played some courses in Perth.
Played Alaruen 3 days ago, Twiglight 25$. I was on the course on my own, nobody else. I was able to walk in in 3:15, so no problem with daylight.
Took some Pics. Condition is ok, but not as good as some of the public courses I saw.

looking forward to lots of golf in WA

How far South you coming? The Albany is in pretty good nick, some greens under maintainance work but the course itself is looking real nice.

If you have a Golf Link Number I can get you into any comp, otherwise....its open to the public most days, easy enough to just jump on and have a go.

Brave man playing in February! Def try and get on the course simmsy has mentioned. If you are going South south then Bunbury is worth a look as well.
