How on earth did the word "greens" get turned into a link for a lucky vitamin website? Site sponsor?!?

That's great to hear....love KB and not just because it flatters my driver distance.

For 10 or 11 holes before he got a phone call about a catastrophic injury and had to leave.

I've noticed some of my former 'Hartfield Lads' have KB in their pennants division in WA this year.

This is the first time I've come across that course playing metros as they were a category D status club at least a year ago..

It is very good to see them coming into this fixture. AND maybe some reason for the positive improvement of their greens.

On another topic, I got to play Lake Karrinyup for the second round of Divy 2 metro pennants.

I played it twice, first for a practice round on the Fri off the whites, then on Sun for my match off the blues.

I really enjoyed the conditioning and variety of holes. I've read previously that there are a few gripes around the community concerning the number of doglegs and right to left holes.

To be honest I didn't find it an issue, missing only 2 fairways on the Fri and only 1 on the Sun. I can see though how somebody who hits a long cut can run out of fairway. But this course seemed very wide and generally clear on the edges right to play out of trouble.

I particularly enjoyed the views down 7th and from the 12th tee. I enjoyed lots of the holes. All of them. Some long. Some short, cheaky and interesting. Lots of options to lay up and attack on 1st, 7th, 10th, 11th, 14th and 15th.

It has to be my favorite and top course now in Perth, in front of KB, Joondalup and WA golf club.

Trips to Cottesloe, Nedlands, Royal Perth and Mosman Park still remain on the to-do list. However caddying twice round RPGC has given me a rough idea of what's doing there. Would be nice to play it eventually.

Yoss is a member at RP Nuffster. He was actually looking for someone to play this morning. Just a touch too late.

You can't message him here, but he is reachable at the other forum.

Thanks JC. There will be another time when the more pleasant golfing weather returns.

I have received a message from Yoss this morning regarding how cold it is on course today. Sounds like it was good that you didn't play this morning.

    Gosnells ended up good
Cold and windy and only about 3 minutes of rain with 2 to play
Greens were good but fairways a bit soft underfoot which made my normal considerable sized divots into massive gouges.

    Played Mandurah yesterday ,
local resident complaints are forcing the club to convert No 1 into a par 3
( Dam you big hitting happy hookers ruining it for everyone )
Will retain the Top tee and it will be about 170 ish in lenght, going to make it a very large green with lots of pin options

    Yes
    was a great par 4
tough driving hole when the wind was blowing into your face from the elevated tee & fun when hitting with it !
I hear Brody Ninyette drove the green last time he played pennants there a couple of years ago
long fast green , tough if the pin was back and you were front and vice versa

Impossible to fix with all the rain. They need a heat wave.

3,6&12 have temp greens during the week.

6 is actually being closed down completely and it is being replaced by a par 3 that will utilise the chipping green. It will play as the 9th hole.

Bugger - one of the best chipping greens going around !
I am about to start working in K Town and had planned to drop through a couple of times a week to chip around on the way home

So the driving range will have to be shortened considerably as well ??
