I love the no hot water policy and the "towels are behind the bar incase the bogans steal them" policy.

They have a new double up in the shower to save water policy as well.

Interesting story, not sure where there's room for another course?

Was it the back or front 9 that the stadium was taking up? I was under the impression that it wouldn't take up both and there was a possibility of 9 holes remaining.

Only options I can think of are Belmont Racecourse or filling in some of the lakes and wrapping it around the western and southern sides of the casino, and perhaps taking up the Dome site (I have no idea of the long term intentions for the Dome when it goes). Can understand the Casino wanting to retain a golf course as part of the complex.

The back nine is first, but it seems like the front nine may also go at a later date. That would make sense as it would then allow a pedestrian connection from the casino to the footy stadium

I can't see where they'd fit 18 holes (short of using all of Belmont Racecourse which is too valuable as a future development site). Maybe 9 holes squeezed in around the existing parkland, although I think the Act requires it to be maintained as public parkland.

Maybe a bridge from Victoria Park Drive over to Maylands??

Bruce have you heard any rumblings about a course touted for Coogee? I heard about it a few years back but my brother read something in our local rag about it again!?!?

Belmont Racecourse is already sold to the Chinese for housing.

I hadn't heard it was sold. Maybe they'll do a golf course estate given there's a moratorium on new golf courses in China (aside from certain regions)?!?!

No doubt, I wasn't being too serious. Was chatting to a few developers recently and they suggested golf courses were dead as a development proposition.
