With Phil Liggett, part of the best commentary duo in any sport. Nobody could switch so smoothly from describing a French chateau to describing an attack from the front of the peleton. Perhaps only the cricket commentators were as good at filling in time and space when nothing was happening.

Even without Phil, he was good. The Tour Down Under won't be as good without him.

"let me tell you something, Mean Gene"

The greatest straight man backstage interviewer ever. They could pair him with anybody and bring out the best in them.

While he was most famous for being with Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage, my favourites were when he was interviewing someone who had an animal as a prop, like Jake the Snake or Koko B Ware.

Annaliese Braakensiek. I don't normally do a double take, but did in this case. Always came across as fit and healthy. I didn't know she had the black dog.

It depends on your tastes in UK Comedy. Think Dad's Army, 'Allo 'Allo! or Are you being served type humour.
