I was wondering if John Prine might get a mention. The really cool musical nerds at school used to claim he was a really good songwriter.

I've heard very few of his songs, but Angel From Montgomery, as performed by Bonnie Raitt, is wonderful.

I'm surprised the lead singer of Fountains of Wayne hasn't been noted. Sadly, Covid 19 claimed him, also. Stacey's Mom will be devastated.

Adam Schlesinger. Wasn't the lead singer though, bass player and songwriter for lots of their songs, along with a bunch of other stuff. Also wrote the title track from the movie "That Thing You Do". Sad news.

Old Tim from the goodies. Another one from the Corona virus. I used to love getting home from school and watching the Goodies.

Me too. Watching The Goodies and Monkey were an after school ritual.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

    Tim at his best.

He also co-wrote the 'Four Yorkshire men' sketch adapted by Monty Python.

    Tim's clearly on the left.

The Goodies used to be on at 6pm, then followed by either Monkey, Dr Who or Max Headroom.

Kenny Everett was sometimes on when the Goodies weren't.

They were great days as a kid. The goodies easily one of my fav shows off all time. I'll have to give them a watch again in the next few days. Poor Tim, and his belly button.
