What we do know is that he protected and moved around other pedophile priests and kept them in positions where they could continue abusing. Can you tell me that any decent priest would put not just the church above the well being of those already abused, but also, even if trying to hide it, place them back in a position to continue doing so? I can see no way in the world that that would happen, unless the person making those decisions was one of the pedophiles themselves! Who in the world would possibly do that other than one of their own? And if, by some complete fluke, he wasn't a pedophile himself (which I firmly don't believe), he deserves crucifiction for protecting those others and allowing them to continue!

This is the key part of me. Did he personally abuse those altar boys? Dunno. Did he enable other rockspiders (including his housemate), protect them and facilitate their ongoing abuse? Absolutely. The pell song was meant to be a more serious statement that could also be listened to by the masses. He said a while ago that he would never play that song again, even if requested.
