Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

Please let it be one of the current ALP pollies in the lower house (so we can get to an election).

One of my daughters is in Canberra and going to Parliament House today. I don't want her to go into the gallery and hear what a shambolic and vitriolic government we currently have.

As I rarely watch any news, the only time I see a Liberal politicial is when Barnaby, Pyne or Mirabella are on Qanda, leads me where Iain is going. I want to be more positive however those 3 make me want to vote..............um, I don't even know.

Oakeshott would be my nomination....for helping put us in this mess in the first place, and then making us sit through 20 minutes of self-congratulatory crap before telling us he was putting us in this mess in the first place.

I do regularly Bruce. Compare the wannabe totalitarian rabble in Canberra (like Conroy etc) with Baroness Thatcher. Yet we get luvvies on Q&A complaining they didn't have champagne when they heard the news.

Why I'd want my daughter anywhere near that bunch of spivs, crooks and shysters ...

I just read she was part of the team that invented soft serve ice-cream. That might have been her greatest achievement.
