    No really??? That really sucks.

He was a junkie before he was famous though so he probably extended his life somewhat.

    Very disappointing.

Depression and substance abuse by the sounds of it.

    Peter Thompson passes aged 88.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

If you ever get the chance, read his book titled Tales of the wandering golfer. Some really funny stories in there.

I'm a bit surprised she was only 76 - seemed like she'd been around forever. Then I found out her first album was recorded when she was 14!

The great thing about celebrity death polls is you can decide whose death is sad, whose death would be sad and whose death would be or is ok to make humorous banter about.

Someone at work had one for a weekend cruiser/toy. He wore a cowboy hat when driving it too. That wasn't the only proof he wasn't normal.
