    Smart idea... I believe it works way better than side putting (require less practise)

    I would think you get the prize here mtb. I'd like to see someone get it past the r&a or usga. Maybe that's why they're willing to hand over the patent (for a smallish fee).

    How do we explain double bend putter shafts then?

    I would hate to be that putter shaft, stuck in some smelly armpit 30 times a round....

    the shaft is allowed to be bent at the clubhead end, otherwise it has to be straight.
