Default WA 2009 Matchplay - Johnny Canuck is your winner. Bring on 2010.

OK WA boys, we might be light on numbers, but if you build it, they will come. I figure we have 4 forum regulars on the best side of this country, which is a good start. So, don't be shy.
    1. Adlo - gawn
    2. Johnny Canuck - Champion
    3. simmsy - gawn
    4. Golfnut - gawn
    5. Bruce Dickinson - scratched, works too much
    6. IDgolfguy - gawn
    7. rebjon- now known as Zuesgolfer
    8. qbnchopper - scratched, never around OzGolf

    New entrants:

    9. Yossarian
    10. TourFit - gawn

OK so round 1 ends up being: (winners in RED)

    Match 1: adlo def Golfnut 5 & 3
Match 2: Johnny Canuck def simmsy 1 up
Match 3: idgolfguy lost to TourFit 1 down
    Match 4: Zuesgolfer lost to Yossarian 2 & 1

    Round 2 - Semi-finals

adlo lost to Johnny Canuck 5 & 4 @ Kennedy Bay, Wednesday 2/12
    TourFit lost to Yossarian 2 & 1 @ Joondalup 24/11

    Round 3, Grand final:

Yossarian vs. Johnny Canuck, 5 & 4 at Mt Lawley GC 13/12/09

You were a member at Kennedy for ages, so it isn't 100% home course advantage. Granted, I have been there longer.

KBay is easy, as I should be able to swing a cart for it. Worst case Ontario, have price. If it is a sunny day, we should have no problem finishing before they "close".

I can still test the waters with my Secret connection, but the few times I went, I was followed by security who was collecting the pins, so they too close a little early. This was months ago, before it got dark much later.

I have no problem beating Yoss at a neutral venue. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Even with my handicap decreasing by 20% in the past week and his only by 12%, I will overcome these seemingly insurmountable odds and beat him on any course, with the exception of Freo public.

Best case scenario, I beat you soon and then take out Yoss at Mt. Lawley, if I can make it.

I have played KB enough to not cry foul if I lose. I was referring to the final.

Secret Harbour is a crap track for matchplay IMO, much happier with the sundowner at KB.

    Next Wednesday, 3pm?

If I play JC I want to play him on a course with lots of ladies on it so he gets kicked off before we finish and he has to concede.

Worst case Ontario, we have to play the last few holes without flags. We may also have to move our cars outside the gate. We'll go in one car, to keep it simple if it arises. On a warmer day with more golfers, it should be open later too.

No offense, but I think we will be against the clock depending what time JC can get off work, so maybe not.

I'll leave it up to the "worker".

Would love it, but time is of the essence. We'll be a little pressed.

Do we have to fight for you? I could be interested in a photo of you carrying my bag while I stroll down a particularly scenic fairway.

Maybe he carries both bags, like a Sherpa.

Yoss' handicap is bad enough. He doesn't need course management help!

A second caddy may appear, that was my hope anyways.

This might take place at Mt Lawley, and my caddy services will be taken off the table.

The conclusion of the saga draws near. Excel attachment in OP edited.

2nd semi final to be played tomorrow.

Its Adlo vs. Johnny Canuck. The wild beard vs. The groomed beard. Australia vs. Canada. Buddy vs. Fwend. Bushnell vs Leupold.

Winner to take on Yossarian. Possibly at Mt Lawley. Must be wrapped up in 2009!!

    Odds?

I'd have them pretty close, probably a slight advantage to the Canadian, on his beloved home soil and a crappy round out of his system last Saturday. Will he bounce back? I don't know guy.

    Johnny Canuck $1.80
    Adlo $2.20
