Why are there only 4 weeks allocated for the first round matches and more time allocated for the lesser number of games in the next rounds?

Would it be possible to make the first round run through till mid March and shorten the second round accordingly?

I thought the time would be enough but I guess it is not. 1st rounds should tried to be played asap. Will 2 weeks make that much difference to people? The time limits are there for people to try to meet no strictly enforced though. I think we will leave the other dates all as is though.

Is there anyone that is actually not going to be able to play their 1st round matches by the end of February?

Carnarvon only allows one visitor per member Nathan and I can get Frank S and Bean B in only unless we all play somewhere else

Due to an injury to my left wrist Dotty and I didn't play our match today. The game will be rescheduled when I get the opinion of the specialist tomorrow.

Surely one hand would have been sufficient ?

Well probably it would have no effect on the result had it been one hand or two. The specialist said no no knife or needle just let it get better. I'll reschedule when it feels right.

I have plenty of free time at present due to being retrenched Tuesday last week, just need some better weather to test it out.

Good to hear Zipptopp. Just let us know, when it feels right. (I had the same problem on-and-off for about 15 years.)

btw. Two hands and a leather wedge would have been needed last Wednesday. (5 under handicap for me that day.)

    Get well soon.

So how are the 1st round games going with planning?

How far past the planned cutoff date do people need to get their games out of the way?

Grant, Nathan and I will be playing our matches against Frank Spencer and Beanbag this Sunday at Carnarvon.

That should be my organisation done for the year

Lol Ping, what if Nathan wins? I reckon he could be the big threat this year.

Mate we are both primed for a big weekend. He shot an even 100 in the Carnarvon Championships last weekend and I had 22 points on Sunday

At least he has had plenty of match play recently. I get to play once each year, first round and goooone

Dotty beat Zipptopp at Cumberland this morning = 2 and 1.

Very close match with birdies and eagles aplentyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. (Sorry, nose is interfering with the keyboard, with that one.)

Close match with Zipptopp going 1 up straight away and the rest of the nine was either 1 up or square, to turn all square. A bottle of coke fuelled Dotty to win the first two holes after the turn, and it was either Dotty 2 or 1 up, until the match finished on the 17th.

As always, a pleasure to catch up with fellow Sydney OzGolfers for a game, a chat and a drink.

Bad shots on each side? Dotty finding 5 greenside bunkers on the first 5 holes. Zipptopp having a B&D of a tee-shot on the 2nd.
