    Cool 2009 NQ Matchplay

    As per this post...

    1. Courty
    2. Haysey
    3. Ned Kelly
    4. Mike
    5. BrettM
    6. Julie
    7. Russell
    8. Cookie
    9. Solarman

Scoring is 20 points for a win, 10 for a squared match, with a point per margin (eg 2&1 is 3 points, 5&3 8 points).

    Semi-final :-

Game 1: Ned Kelly vs. Russell
    Game 2: Courty vs. Solarman

    Final :-
Ned Kelly vs. Courty (03/01/10 AM - Mossman)

Excuse me, but my husband is the FNQ C grade player of the year.

I'm sure Russell will play, (I've never known him to say no to a game of golf).

    Karma for the buggy line.

Shut up about new golf clubs. (Don't even put that idea in his head).

His $200.00 Callaway 8 iron snapped in two the other day, while he was teeing off on a par 3.

Maybe you can sell him a cheap MacGregor 8 iron.

    Perhaps.....

I guess we'll find out who's the biggest burglar (no way should Courty be playing off 9) soon enough.

    First post updated....

It would be great to be able to all play together whenever the matches are to be played, but I appreciate it may be difficult to find a day/ date when everyone is available. What does everyone think? The other option is for the opponents to arrange the game for a time that suits them (preferably at a neutral venue unless both members at the same course).

Hmmm. Just mulling over your scoring system in my head, Courty. I'd rather see more emphasis on the win rather than the margin.

Why ? Because say , as in your example, s756238 has a 5/3 win ( 14 points ) and then doesn't win any other game, he finishes on 14 points. Then say I win every game 1 up ( which is very likely ) I'll finish the "season" with 10 points. Am I right ?

How about 3 points for a win and 1 point bonus per shot margin
