    Default ACT Matchplay Challenge

    I haven't even gone close to winning a net golf match so the challenge is laid out to tg01 and wbennent - two of the finest matchplay golfers in history.

    Home and away format, so 6 matches in total. Scoring is 20 points for a win, 10 for a squared match, with a point per margin (eg 2&1 is 3 points, 5&3 8 points).

    These 2 couldn't beat an egg - so surely this will be when I break my duck.

    The matches, in no particular order;

    What does the winner get besides "bragging rights"?
    Consciousness and awareness - awareness is being aware of what is happening and being aware of what is happening within ourselves while we are conscious. Where did I leave my glasses?

    No good for me. Playing pennant semi this week, and after we beat Gold Creek the final will be on the 10th. If we lose, I will be in Albury.

    Of course you could play pennant for Gold Creek this Sunday.

    ps - How about we all sneak out of work next Friday and play in the pro comp at Federal - no green fees for ACT players for May

    Gold Creek will flog you guys

    Benno thats not too bad an idea, although I am taking tomorrow off to go to Melb for the footy.

    Maybe in a couple of weeks time, late May might be workable?

    Maybe. After playing #1 in every game this year, I think I am playing #4 so I can draw that big turd Harris. Some serious order shuffle going on.

    You're just soft cocking it, knowing how good GC #1 is....Harris playing 4 now? That team is pretty good

    I'm doing nothing of the sort. I would love to play Mick (nobody is unbeatable).

    We don't have the depth that GC do, so we are going to try to nail down 6&7 (with our 3&4), and play our 1&2 mid-order. As much as I hate throwing matches, this order has a lot of merit.

    Isn't Mick Gerstenberg just a ring in from Goulburn anyway?

    I am available next Wednesday SMS - want me to try and get two spots at Federal?

    Benno

    They cored the greens in mid April and they haven't quite come back due to the cold weather. Maybe worth waiting a couple of weeks but then if its only the costs on comp fees worth a hit anyway.

    I'm keen for a hit. Only catch is I need to play between 8-8.30, or close as possible to 11am. Even happy to play GL. I thought the course changes there actually made the course a little more interesting.

    Time for the monthly bump to see if tg01 is;

    a) still alive
    b) over his fear of being beaten by me
    c) sick of watching Carlton playing like 22 'tards
    d) all of the above

    tg01 is:

    a) Alive and now have time on my hands
    b) There is a certain fear I have of you I will never get over
    c) Sick of watching Carlton play like 22 'tards

    So lets line something up

    If you play Mon 8/6/09 at Gold Creek does that count as a home match for you?

    What about a mid week game? Anytime inthe comp over the next few weeks is good for me (except this week).

    I've never heard Yowani referred to as the Fuddie Farm, although it is 100% spot on.

    I'm happy to do a Qld, and give up my home match to play at Goldie. I've probably played it more than Yowani anyway.
