It looks like its one of the alloy frame ones, with carbon seatposts, forks etc?

    what running gear?

I've been offered a similar bike to that one for $1500 that hasn't done many km's and am not sure if its a good deal as I've done no research

cleats? Do you mean shoes? I don't have any spares. Much like my golf gear, I have just one setup. I've got mountain bike shoes with SPD cleats in size 11 you can borrow if you need something, but they're probably too small. I've got SPD pedals too somewhere.

image.jpgShoes are what I'm after and have placed a bid on a pair on EBay. Got the pedal sorted.

I'm of no use. I use carbon road shoes. You want a MTB shoe with the SPD cleat pattern to suit those pedals - which is all.

MTB shoes are more user friendly as you can walk properly in them.
I use Speedplay Zero pedals which only fit on road shoes.

It's a carbon frame, Campag Veloce running gear. I bought the bike and a heap of spares and accessories for 2K.

yeah, I think if I do get a new one - I will get a carbon frame. My current bike is fine though, so unless I really get into the tri scene and do more riding, I'll just stick with what I have.

i've got ultegra 9 speed on my bike, just recently refreshed the chain rings, chain, cluster, bottom bracket and RD. About the only part I could use would be a spare bottom bracket.

I like your commuter bike. I'd like something like that myself if I ever had the funds to get a new bike.

Is this a genuwhine Pinny or a copy with decals? Just curious and I don't mean to offend you Titliest. It's looks like a nice commuter ride. Hope you got what you wanted for it.

Gettiing pissed off, What's the preferred method of puncture avoiding not including tractor tyres? Of course everything adds to rolling resistance so there is obviously a middle ground. I guess there is tyre liners, green goo and special tyres.

I have one eye open on a pair of these. Seem highly rated.

The only puncture I have had in the last 6 months was last week when I took the kids up the bush for a short ride and that was because I had to go off the main path to avoid the young bloke. It gave me a chance to try out the co2 inflator which was a bit of an epic fail where are you riding to get a lot of punctures?

Riding around in circles is stoopid, you don't go anywhere. Maxis Detonator 700c x32 100psi. They seem to me to be fairly thin. There are also more cuts and holes in the tyre than punctures which doesn't impress me either. Titleist, tyre liners seem to me to be a pita to install?
