[QUOTE=goughy;1467802]With levies, about $1700 for 7 day member.

Good value for the 200 odd members who play 300+ rounds a year.

    Nudgee members...
Looked on the website but couldn't work out what the comp fee is if playing in the comp as visitor from another club.
Possibly the Wed comp next week as Keperra is closed due to the Bowl.

Yep. It's a bit rich. I haven't played there since the renovations were finished. I think they are trying to recoup money out of the visitors that they can't get out of the membership because the membership fee is locked in.

I'd like to play the new course[s) but at the current pricing I can't justify the expense.

I’ve just emailed the pro shop to see what the current “members guest” fee is.

I wouldn’t bother playing it for a month or so as both courses have had greens renovations.

Hopefully this means the greens are in good nick for our social club champs second round on Sunday 😀

Hey now, c'mon, it's better than RQ... $88 should be a friggin' steal. (Comment from Ron Chopper RQ video)

Make sure you play off the back tees, if you gonna love it, might as well go all the way.

I would love to play the course again, but unless the course layout and condition is markedly improved since last I played it I would be hesitant to pay $88, I haven't played a lot of courses since coming back to golf but all the social club courses on our list this year are between $37 and $48 for a Sunday round, except 2 (Twin Waters and Brookwater) which are $100 but both include a cart and lunch, I know these may be discounted but they aren't going to be that much, courses on the list include Keperra North and Old, Gailes, Wynnum, Redcliffe, Redland Bay, Ashgrove, Oxley, Virginia, Riverlakes.

I just checked online, Keperra $45 weekday $55 Sunday, Nudgee $75 any day bar Sat.

To the guys that play lots of courses in Brisbane and have played the new Nudgee is it worth the premium?

Even the old Nudgee was better than all on that list bar Redcliffe. Ashgrove might be the worst course in the country.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

Gailes and Riverlakes are pretty good.

Keperra is on my never again list and Ashgrove is a non-event is my memory but I suspect it’d join Keperra if I went there again.

On a related note, I saw an add for Future golf for a day at my course in Sydney with meal etc for $119/person. For me to take a guest there in a comp is around the $105-$110 mark.

Personally I think that is shit when I lay $5k a year to be a member!

It has been over 10 years since I played Nudgee, and at that time I would not be able to put it above Redcliffe, Keppera, Redland Bay and maybe even Wynnum. This includes course condition and enjoyment of playing.
I have not played Gailes yet, and haven’t played Redland Bay for 8 years, and Keperra and Redcliffe in over 10+ years either.

I am playing Keperra Old this weekend, it has been a longtime but remember really enjoying playing it.

Did they lose some of the land they had? The South course used to be pretty cool, but I assume that's the part which would have been impacted by the highway being widened.

I was a member for a bit so mostly played the North course, but I really enjoyed it. It was pretty equivalent to other midrange courses like Gailes, Oxley, Reddy Bay etc.

You can play it for free next year if you can get into a pennant side for Wolston Park, Ashgrove, or Virginia.
