Maybe a 2009 Champs location? Any chance of them catering for the numbers?

Is already a big week there Poidda. I reckon they could let us in but playing together could be a problem.

I don't think poidda is necessarily suggesting we combine the champs with the Coffs Festival of golf. The fields would be too full as it is without catering for our 40+ pencils.

A Coffs trip could work though. Two nice courses apparently, within reasonable distance of Syd & Bris.

Is a good venue BV. Could even have a 3 day event as the 27 holes gives us 3 possible 18's

A major open event would love to get 40 early entries, so i reckon it wont be a problem to combine with that. I have advocated this before.

40 pencils is the issue, but they would only take bookings 2-3 weeks ahead, we are usually set by then.

so i couldnt imagine it being a problem as long as we send in the entry fees on the first day or so. it also solves the problem of finding a course thats available on saturdays.

If the field is full they would ballot out highest handicaps. might be an issue for our +25's though

That might get me a start as Coffs is a little closer to Moree than Sydney or Bris.

just looking, could be interested but it say the Coffs cup is agu 7-16 and only 104 players(vardon 0-6 field 72, ladies 0-27 Field 52) , may not suit the champs.
