    Default QLD Open

    Guys

Had hoped to post an extensive "In the Bag" from the Qld Open
today at Ipswich. The rain though had other ideas

Only got about an hour to look around before rain washed the event
out.The players useage of rain hoods on their bags didn't help either.

Just a few items I thought I'd share.............

Peter Senior - Cally Fusion with Harmon/UST shaft.Pete had new irons in the bag too,the Prosimon(spelling?)irons he had used for years are gone.
May be the Titleist c/b's 704's?

Scott Gardiner - Titleist hat and bag.R7 driver.Shaft was a lime green colour.......is that a Aldila HM....?? Ping blade irons,V-steel 3 wood.

Eddie Barr - GBB2.This guys wide stance really suprised me.

Richard Swift - R7 driver.Shaft looked the same as Seniors.V-steel 3 wood.Good looking swing.Hadn't heard of this guy before.

    Christopher Campbell - TM580.Penley shaft.

    Sorry chums....that's it

Will try much harder next month at Coolum :P

Eags, Moocow, Macca & myself had a good look at Scott last week whilst at the range. Has a very smooth swing these days

Deano, most of us do find this interesting, but I guess when read it there's not much you can say.

Just have a look at the reads you have had in 1 day

Shirt colour is a very important issue here at Ozgolf, there are pages and pages of it in the forum. Just do a search on Orange or Grape.

Deano, I always find this stuff interesting. One of my ideal days would be to root around in a tour equipment van and then take home some samples..

I'd love to get the chance to go on one of the practice days and look through all the stuff. It must be amazing for the guys in the states. When you read what the guys on bsg do when they turn up to a tournament. "I was talking to justin roses caddie. He let me look through his bag and have a few swings with his driver" and stuff like that. Would be great to get up close to everything.

I've yet to make it to my first event. With family in Bli Bli you'd think I'd make it for the pga or the jn classic, but they're always on at a bad time of the year for me.

I went to the practice days for the Australian Open, a couple of years ago. It was great tobe able to walk down the fairway and chat to Ernie, Allenby, parry etc. Even got me dial on the news that night.

Horrified Australia viewers turned off nightly sports broadcasts forever! Counselling offers flood in from around the nation....

Ratings plummet for nightly news sport fixtures!

Rise in sporting event attendance puzzles media and event analysts...

"not many titleist gear floating around, or just weren't looking for them???"

As mentioned time was cut short due to the weather.
Around the practice putting green I did see some newish
Titleist blades in a bag. Also what suprised me,a set of 962's
    still in play
A number of Cameron putters as usual and Vokey wedges.

Hopefully Coolum next month will be better for bag pervin'

I may have extra free tix.......I'll ofer 'em here first so keep
    an eye out
