Finally...

Rate this Entry
After several instances of seeing Sydney Ozgolf meetups where my lack of handicapping worked against me, I have finally got my butt into gear and signed up somewhere. Filled out the forms today (well, one I have to fill out tomorrow) to join up at Glenmore Heritage Valley.

Time will tell if I'll regret signing up at Lynwood, but I do like Glenmore a lot. The 2 long par 5s on the front 9, the nice little par 3 to close off the front 9 with a near full water carry, the undulating fairways...I really think it's a picturesque course.

So, following in the footsteps of LarryLong, I'm going to chronicle the gaining of the handicap that's been a long time coming. Mid teens I'll be happy with, then I can work from there.

    Congrats Kristian

I was a member there for many years. Though I haven't played there for a while, I'm sure you will find the course interesting (except on medal day when the pins are in stupid places and a round can take 6 hours...). You'll also enjoy the company of the friendly members there.

    Cheers

Any cards towards this yet? Will one need to be signed at The Springs?

Nice one Kristian! Just took a look through the course tour of Glenmore - a couple of brutal holes there! What really caught my eye though was that not one, but two holes on the course are named "Man's dream". Sounds awfully dodgy to me.

Good luck with the handicap establishment.
