29/11/11 Tuesday. The past weekend golfing was a pleasure to see and play in, starting on Friday afternoon with my first decent hit in 2-3 weeks. The 9 hole “chicken run” competition on Friday afternoons is fun and my approach to this is to especially enjoy the round and use it to tune up my game for competition. Having spent so long on the side lines of late it was good to be hitting the ball well and enjoying the company of my playing partners. Akin to a scene from Caddyshack the skies around ...
9/11/11 Wednesday The Robe Open on Sunday was my last committed hit on a course for a few weeks, time to rest up a bit giving my elbows a bit of recovery time. The improvement has been gradual and the frustration and irritation of the injury has been a boon of sorts. You may think that this is taking optimism a leap too far in maintaining a positive attitude. The first Open hits off on the 24th of July at Lucindale, in 2010 I won the C Grade this season I am in the B grade and will need to get a bit of dedicated practise under the belt to repeat the performance. This tournament is also the 2nd round of the DK Edwards Trophy which started last season and requires playing in ...
26th October 2010 Like most people I prefer life to amble along without much difficulty and minimal brain strain having to be enacted. Fact is that every now and then a smooth path can become a roller coaster ride affected by outside influences. Fortunately these are not often negative events, usually they are invigorating and inspiring activities that are part of work in my case. I admit to relishing this excitement and the effect of creative release associated with these events. ...
