My Golfing Passion...

In 2009 I returned to playing golf. After a 20 year lapse it was a delight to get back into the game as a player. Whilst being a great player will never be in my grasp. Improving and enjoying the rounds and experiences, the good and bad ones is part and parcel of my documenting it online.

  1. Course development... I'd rather play golf

18/8/12 Saturday. This is about to become a rant that has been formulating for several months. Our club is currently in the process of developing land for adding holes to become a quality 18 hole course as well as subdividing existing land to finance the project.

After three months of training in preparation for the tournament it is good to have the solid piece of paper in my hands confirming my entry.

This week has been a good one training wise, recovery from the exertion of the past weeks has progressed well. ...
  4. Ho Hum... more practise followed with more practise.

13/1/12 Friday. Right now is one of those moments when I am pleased to have made the effort. It is now two weeks since the coaching sessions and putting my head down and committing to the task of getting my game in tune for the Southern Ports Tournament in March. This year is noticeably more difficult than the previous two, in part because the rate of improvement is less now that I am in A grade on a 12 hcp. Whilst the improvement is happening, the range sessions are based upon making slight adjustments ...
