AUSTRALIAN Peter Lonard, with a 64, is tied for the lead with American J.L. Lewis after the opening round of the Byron Nelson Championship in Dallas, Texas today.

They head Tiger Woods and Dudley Hart by one stroke, while Australians Stephen Laney and Rod Pampling are equal third on 66.

Defending champion Vijay Singh carded a 68, while Victorian Robert Allenby joins Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els on 69.

I missed the golf this morning - good to see a strong aussie showing in the first round.... :D Hope the boys can keep it going strong.... :wink:

Doesn't this make Leaney and Pampling equal fifth, not third, if there is four people ahead of them.

I haven't seen scorpiochick yet, and believe me, I am looking. :wink:
