TM TP BLACK RAC Wedges - Rust

After playing in the wet the other day (I know I should have wiped them down then), I've noticed a bit of rust on my TP black wedges. Anyone get some suggestions (that work) to get it off?

Couldn't you just get it off with steel wool and give it a coat of WD-40 ?

I was thinking WD-40, read a little about Coking wedges. Would the black finish be screwed after?

I coked an old RAC Black wedge a few years back. It didn't even take the rust off, let alone damage the finish. :roll:
