:? im confused as to which driver to upgrade too
on ebay they have new drivers of
taylor made r7 230.00
taylor made r5 187.00
cobra x speed 137.00
callaway big bertha 270.00
srixon tour driver 175.00

i have a srixon 3 wood which can get between 200-210..
will any of these get me more distance?

Forget distance, get a driver that is STRAIGHTER. I see more birdies made from the cut stuff than the rough.

If you insist on a dick measuring contest, the r5 or X Speed are your weapons of choice.

But yeh, have fun hittin 8 iron from the rough.

Stay away from R7 on ebay, too many fakes. Cobra is noisy as shit, depends on what you like.

R5 is value, Big Bertha is ugly... bottom line, get a G10

They will probably all go as well as the other, is what you are comfortable to look at.

yeah - drivers are fun for the range :)

i agree with 3 - cobra drivers sound terrible...

i have a G2 and love it - you could probably source one cheaper than any of the ones in your list

Slicer, try slicing 1" off your current driver shaft before you buy another driver. I just did this & it made a HUGE difference.

Anything made by PGF would suit fine.

on ebay they have new drivers of

all horrible choices. The one you have is fine in comparison.

if you really need to change something, get a new shaft in it. will make the world of difference.

is it wise to adjust the weighted screws on the driver?

how come some irons seem to go the same distance ?

then a new driver is not going to change much at all, except burn holes in your pocket as you keep chasing that elusive perfect club

Tell us where you are, someone her will know a decent Pro or Clubfitter who can give you some advice on the best way to improve your game.

I have an R7 quad sitting in the garage you can have for $150 or so.

The R5 is a good driver. But maybe you should invest in some lessons with a Pro first, before you try to improve by buying new clubs. Some of the guys here might be able to recommend someone in your area.

I can't help it. I broke back into single figures last weekend and now I can't help but feel that it's my duty to act superior and tell everyone what's best for them
