Isn't there a bye week?

You need to remove options 1 & 4 and replace them with 'F*** No!'

Iain
19th May 2008, 08:46 PM
Why is there 2 no options??

On the grog DC??

dc68
19th May 2008, 09:00 PM
No, coz there really should not have been an option for this sorry excuse for a "football" team to be back.

goughy
19th May 2008, 09:06 PM
Also, it should be a multiple vote option. It won't let me select both No's.

I don't care how good or bad they are. They are only in because every one cried when they couldn't meet the nrl's requirements and were booted out. To bad so sad have a little cry in the corner. Bloody Denten!!!

Cant be done, Sydney still got the rights over the name.

I always thought that it was a bit of a joke that they were let back in.

where are all the bleeding hearts who marched down George St demanding reinstatement? Not attending Souths games nowadays, that's for sure.

Lose them now.

Always struck me as strange a comp with an even number of teams has byes...

PS - I voted No.

That was always my point. Long before they were booted, they new what they had to do. They new they needed to turn up to games, but still they didn't. Then they cry in the corner and suck their thumbs!

Now it's the same is it. All talk but no action when it comes to actually showing the support?

Got to say the edict for the NRL to have them play games at the Olympic stadium is a disaster. Even 10k in that stadium means a good view of empty plastic seats.

They talked about this on ABC radio last week with the Parra home game being shifted to Olympic. The Olympic stadium GARENTEE sponsers coverage on TV/Pay tV etc so the stadium Pays clubs to play there, provide food, staff everything. Apparently Parramatta were paid more money to play there than what they would of made with a sell out crowd at their home stadium. Souths would be the same deal.

PS F them off the cry babies

Absolutely should have been let back in.

They should reinstate Norths too.

And the Steelers.

And f***ing get rid of Melbourne and NZ. Shouldn't be there.

And the comp was a lot better before they let Brisbane join up.

Choice or bribe? The NRL wanted games played there.

The stadium is a white elephant... NRL, AFL or cricket, doesn't suit any of the above. The only teams that attract a full house are the Socceroo's and the Wallabies.

To fill the stadium with South supporters you would have to have approximately 40000 stolen cars from the Sydney metro area (considering Souths fan + joyrider).

bring back Newtown

Better option.... Tommy can make a comeback. Probably a better option than the current 1/2 backs at the Rabbles.

Spose. It would have been fairer that's for sure! ;)

They should have a two-tiered system where underperfomers get relegated to reserve grade

How could that work when News Ltd has a controlling interest in several clubs?

Let Rusty and Pete buy a decent team, then they could have one in both

It is a stupid game.

Almost as stupid as having a "World Cup", right up there with the Baseball World Series.

There is a reason we call it "Mungoes"

You serious? Anyone of these 10 teams could win it. I never realised countries like Samoa or Tonga were such power houses of League?!?! They must have knocked out some big nations in the qualifying stages.

Australia
England
Fiji
France
New Zealand
Papua New Guinea
Tonga
Ireland
Scotland
Samoa

EDIT: It's interesting to see you can still buy tickets to the final for this. Will they finally realise after this one that no one's interested?!?!

2 possibly 3 are a chance in the League, 4 possibly 5 in Union ? Given Union is a world game, that's a pretty sucky comparison. Georgia, Japan and the USA are powerhouses

PeteyD
21st May 2008, 08:52 AM
At least union is actually played there. Leagues problem is it is only played in Sydney (if you believe the RL pundits in Sydney anyway).

It appears Egypt and Lebanon have been knocked out in the qualifiers.

who cares, its NRL.

thread can be closed in a couple of years or can be changed to the QRL, seeing as we are the only teams that know how to run a club.
