What's your best run of holes that you can remember? Sometimes you have a stretch of holes, and think back and wonder "How the hell did I do that?" and "Why can't I do it again?".
It doesn't have to be birdies, it can be pars, or even bogeys for the higher handicappers.
Where did you have this streak?
Is there a story that goes with it?

For me it was on Sunday at Bribie Island, I birdied three holes in a row (with only one regulation putt), the 3rd, 4th and 5th, after coming off a quadruple bogey. It was pretty exciting watching the third one roll in, and it made it easy to forget about some of the ordinary holes I had played beforehand. It will stick in my mind for a while, and will be hard for me to beat in the near future. In fact, I can't even recall getting two consecutively before.

Back-to-back birdies at Sandringham in VIC, on a day blowing 25-30 knotts. The par 3 (7th?) followed by short par 4 (8th?).

The par 3 was into the teeth of the gale. Creamed a 6-iron straight over the pin, 10' putt for birdie.

Par 4, average drive to fairway-right, SW into green and about a 15' putt. Finished the front 9 +3 after bogeying the 9th with a duffed chip included.

The closing holes at Casino are relatively simple, so it's not hard to come home in a hurry, but if i make 3 or so consecutive par's it's always a good feeling (for a shot-a-hole player).

Andy P, that's a great comeback after a quad.

I played with a guy once who knocked a 6i to 1 foot on the 16th then shanked a 5i on the next hole for a 7 on a par 3, then shanked his drive on the last leaving himself with a 210m downhill lie in the rough that needed to carry a huge lake right up to the greens edge with about 30 members (who all knew him & were beered up) watching from the balcony of the clubhouse. So, he did what any 17 year old, 2 handicapper would do. He hit a 2 iron that came to a stop only 2 inches from the hole.

I've never seen a guy go from rooster to feather duster back to rooster again, so quickly.

My best is 5 birdies in a row . Was in the 2nd round of club champs up Darwin way back around 1990.

I was 2 over after 8 holes (back 9 1st if you know the course) and was playing rather well despite the ordinary score, from memory had some misfortune. I birdied 5 in a row, including 2 eagle lipouts, one with a wedge (the 4th birdie), the first 4 birdies were all tap ins. Thats how golf is meant to be played.

The next hole is difficult, despite been 375m its an iron from the tee. by this time I was on a different planet, if that is the zone, then thats where I was.

I squeezed a 2 iron up to the corner, and pulled out a 7 iron and was about to hit. One of my playing partners, walked *into* me during my pre-shot routine. I stopped, changed clubs to an 8 iron, hit it to about 20ft past the hole and holed the downhill putt.

He explained after the game that his rationale was that i was 'pumped' and began rushing my game, and he knew I had the wrong club, and wanted to slow me down (he was an ex qld state rep), and obviously couldnt say anything to me. and it obviously had the desired affect in slowing me down, and changing clubs.

The interesting thing was- I didnt remember him doing that except that he was close to me, so i was obviously very focussed.

Soon came down to earth, with a shattering thump, finished with 4 bogies on the trot......Old man bogey always has a way to pay you back.

Occasionally I will have par holes in a round but they never comes in a row.

On last Saturday I was having a round with Kee and his uncle in Logan City GC.... under the pressure of playing with some better player I start out pretty ok.

And never happen before in the hole 3, 4 and 5 I have 3 par in a row (usually boogeys in a row) and I was so excited and looking forward for the next. :D

But dreadful thing happen :( on the 6th I usually hooked OOB due to mental problem  but I managed to overcomed it... I unleash a perfectly long straight drive with the driver and just leave a PW distance to the green. And when I try to hit the PW, I hit a PERFECT one, both Kee and me just waiting for the ball to land on the green and suddenly a sound of "DONG" comes into our ear, the ball hit the freaking overhead powerline and landed 2 miles left of the green  Not knowing I can hit another from the original place I just kept playing on, screwed up the back 9 and shoot 99. YUCK!

was playing that fireball matchplay against a 13 hcapper from Pacific. he was a REAL 13 capper i had had my stupidly low 14 hcap still, only 1 shot given up.

It was at Oxley off the 1st, i went par on the par 4 after heading into the left trees and a punch recovery that ended up on the green, one up. i think he gave me a shot there?

then birdie on that uphill par 5..drained a massive long putt to annoy the guy who par'd it. 2 up

went left on the downhill par 3, but got up and down for par with a flop shot...the poor guy got on and 3 putted. 3 up

the downhill par 4, guy smoked one well past me, i had about 100 into the pin, knocked the vokey 50* to within 3 feet. ...sure he was thinking burglar....he also put one with 10 feet behind the hole so his was downhill. he putts....misses. pars it....i sink the bird...4 up.

it was back and forth after that, but since i normally do shite in matchplay i was pretty happy, ...nicest 4 holes in awhile.

i lost in a putt off as we finished all square. i was heaps ahead but crumbled on the back 9. it came down to my final putt on the 18th which i sank to square it as he took a 6. got wobbly on that putt for sure!

he had a really huge day off the stick in the end. something like an 81 i think. main difference was the possible stroke scores I "would" have had on some conceded holes, he was really steady. i would have blown out by miiiiles, excellent round by him i just got flukey

and as for a comparable g69 streak running around the roundhouse starkers at mt gravatt campus dorms at uni in front of the 16's girls volleyball team who were visiting..... i blame society, the newly released SubZero's at the britannia inn and a hardcore female drinking buddy for that one....

it ended after a mate ploughed my head into the frame of a firedoor's window i was peering through inside the dorm, splitting open that bit between my eyebrows....i reeled away yelling "im already ugly enough aren't I!" apparently....personally i have limited recollection....

best is 3 birds in a row, when playing 9 holes in the evening...

think I had a shocker first 6 holes, then come the 7th, chipped in...
8th, overhit the 2nd shot, with the ball just on the back fringe, and nailed the putt...
9th, 1 on, 1 putt

sure felt good driving home that night!!! :D

I was playing Woodford G.C. about 5 weeks ago (my last round of golf!!) and was playing not very well. It was a shotgun start so I started on the 3rd hole.

Coming into the par 5 14th I was a few over my handicap (I'm a 22, hey don't laugh! ) It was playing straight into a stiff wind so I pulled out my three wood as getting home in 2 was not an option. Hooked the tee shot right, good recovery 2nd, 3 to within 30 m of the green, made an up and down for par.

Next hole, hit a 280 m drive, had a knockdown 9 iron left to the green, but pushed it right of the green. Had to hit over a bunker to a pin tucked 3 m on. Stiffed it to a foot for par.

16th is a short par 4, 4 iron to the middle of the fairway, 9 iron to 3m, birdie putt lipped out for par.

17 & 18 were bogeys.

The 1st is a short par 5. Hooked my drive into some trees. Had 190 m to the middle of the green with a lake on the right, pin on the right. I saw a path through the trees, but it would mean going under some branches, then climbing over the trees. Pulled out my 2 iron, took a deep breath and put a lot of lag into the shot. Absolute screamer that climbed into the wind, drew to the back of the green. Eagle putt missed by a foot, easy birdie.

2nd made another up and down for par.

Beat my handicap by 3 shots..

If I was talking to my wife, she would have been asleep by now. Thanks for listening.
