Ok, so who screwed the pooch this time?
New avatar specs must be 150 x 150, with 10 kb max? What are we meant to do - upload a jpeg of our favourite colour?
Correct me if i am wrong, but didn't this change from 200 x 200, and a (much) larger file size?
My new avatar eagerly awaits.......

Surely 20Kb isn't too big, even for dial up users?? :? :?:

It was changed about a week or two ago, i noticed i changed my avatar and a day later went to change it again, and sod, the limit was reduced.
Yes, its pretty hard to fit 150*150 into 10k but you should just be able to manage it - JPEG at quality rating 6.
Maybe some nimcompoop complained about the avatars, causing execssive downloads. Dont these people understand the meaning of browser caching! :smt102

Well, I think if there is a sudden concern with the amount of data that has to be downloaded on each webpage, then the chatroom could use a tune-up too.
Kind regards,
Ben (Ducky).

Nope. you will only download an avatar once

That would be dependant on web browser preferences, MTB, not the website.
Kind regards,
Ben (Ducky).

That is correct Ducky, but 99% of people are not going to change the default settings.

Always said you had a good sense of style Juan. It would be good if a few other could follow suit with the "grape", then there would be a bunch of us.

Gee 69, you made the post of the year yesterday with the Hogan story, and then you deflate yourself with that one. Tragic
