So it seems things are heating up, so it might be worth having a thread to highlight the deals. Jetstar have 5000 1cent fairs tonight.

i've spent the last 2 hours trying to rearrange work deadlines and just thew in the towel - but if anyone else is interested in late flights to the Barnbougle trip it can be had for around $200 return flying jetstar down and tiger back. $179 (direct) and $20 back (stop over in melb.)
That gets you from bris at 5:30pm on friday and back to the gold coast 9am tuesday morn. Doesn't work for me unfortunately as hard as i tried, but maybe someone else can benefit....

Just got a hot tip from golfer69 that the jetstar fare sale on tonight will have Syd->Gold Coast fares for $36 (thank the Titans for scoring that many points) over the Ozgolf Champs period..

Apparently the sale starts 8pm tonight NSW time. Get all over it for cheap champs flights.

And for those shopping around - beware of Tiger for golf trips.

15kg is the luggage limit and there is $30 per leg for any sporting equipment (golf clubs) whether or not this is your only bag. It is also cheaper to pre-pay for extra weight than to do it at the terminal.

So if you only took your golf clubs and they weighed in at less than 15kg, you'd still have to pay $30? That stinks.

I've flown Virgin Blue once, and once only.
I'm a bit over 6ft tall, and built like a brick outhouse. Being crammed into those Virgin Blue seats didn't do much for me! Couldn't get to sleep either for some reason.

I'd rather pay the premium and fly with Qantas. In-flight entertainment is handy on a Darwin-Brisbane flight! Slept like a log too.
I've found booking early can help lower the price as well.

Cheers
