G'Day all,

Just thought I would say a quick hello, I just found this site yesterday, and thought I would join up! I have mainly been on The US golf forums for the last 3years, and though I would also like to read on something more local as well.

Love collecting and selling high end golf gear,Tour issue and Proto stuff and collecting Cameron Putters.

Cheers

Dan

Toolish,

I have just offloaded a TE 10 2.5, Red X3, studio design 2.5 1st of 500, Newport Beach centreshaft and Newport 2 cetreshaft, so the herd is a little thin, but I may have a 2007 Catalina Classic shortly for sale.

Hi Dan, welcome aboard :)

Around here, you have to be a low marker to use tour gear ... otherwise jack and Fishman Dan will be all over you like a cheap suit

Welcome! Is the OnOff bag the one with the squarish looking pockets? They look sweet!

Thx Just!

No I went for the new bag, the square pocket was just to gimmicky for me and didn't think it would travel to well!

Here is the one I have -

your thoughts ?

Welcome by the way :)

The L4V X,

Well the driver I must say sets up very well for a retail head, sitting approx 1.5 deg open, which I like! It is very loud however, but I think a shot of hotmelt in it would fix that problem, and will probably do it if I descide to game it... I would prefer a 8deg as it launches quite high, I bought this club only for the head, as I had a few shafts on stand by, I ran a Matrix Ozik F7m2 shaft which is a mid launch shaft, one of my all time favorites, magic feel!

I am only in my second week of testing it, but will let you know, at this stage I still like my Tour issue D2 8.5 / Matrix Ozik Altus combo.

But we will see as it is hot and long.

Dan

Hit the l4v today and noticed it launches very high with the standard mitsubishi shaft in it. Thats the way they are designed i was told but also noticed a lot less spin which is another design spec they wanted. i also agree with djh it is really loud off the face even more so than the speed series drivers and must say im not a big fan of the loud tinny sounds. Think i am happy enough to leave the hs9 cobra in the bag a bit longer.

Welcome, Dan. 8)

I didn't mind the loud sound of the Speed series because it still sounded solid. The L4V sounds a bit like the Sumo 2. Loud, hollow, and ... yuck.

BTW, have you tried the foamed Aurora? ;)
