Well it is that time of year again, the Wynnum Cup. This has always been a strongly attended and contested event on the Ozgolf Calender.

As always the course is in fantastic condition, the trees have thickened up a bit more and scoring will be challenging.

Please register your interest and I will speak to the club about a group booking.

1:15p start to the cricket, goughy. With reserved seats you could probably do it timewise, if you have the permission slip.

Note to Rocket - max hcp is 20, but if you're off a higher hcp you just play the round off 20. It worked well for andylo last year!

Just on that point, I spoke to the club again today, they will require final names by lunch time on the 18/1.

The sheet for this event is usually full within a couple of hours of being relaesed so if we want to be grouped together we need our grouping finalised before the sheet is released.

I've played Wynnum once a year for the past few years, same as you. You beat me at wynnum last year. and as you've pointed out, you won more matchplay matches than me last year too. you're the favourite.

The club has changed the rules for visitors playing in open comps and has only allowed us to play in pairs.

Why you ask, stuffed if I know. :smt093 I have expressed my displeasure :smt087but have been told it is a match comittee decision. I have asked for this to be reviewed but the sheet is filling fast so I don;t like my chances.

I thought the cut-off time was a guide only. If can be done earlier, it leaves plenty of time for the next one and the one after and so on. I think this is why Chops cracked the shits, because the dc68/Moe match took a while.

AP, you like looking up things.... I have always made time for matches well before the date unless someone is injuried.... And have ALWAYS said I will never play matchplay at Wynnum Cup. Its not sheep stations but no one whats there match to be forever remembered in a banner. I don't really enjoy the course, I'm only playing to catch up with ozgolfers.

As shazza has said I have been working alot and not touched a club but I'm not going to explain as some people may think I'm bitching about my job.

I'm happy to swap groups ... to play in kpac group as its always a fun day out.... whatever.
