Ok, so the other day here at Carlingford in Sydney we got 1.5" (of rain for all the smutty minds round here!) in an hour, which I thought was a pretty good bit of rain  :smt087

Today we got 3.5" (uncertain of timeframe) which must have come down failry quickly cos our 'storage room' (converted garage/office) was flooded. By the look of things flooded by a few inches! We have a grill covered drain across the front of this room which obviously couldn't handle the volume :smt087:smt108.

So do I need to do anything special with my clubs that got the last couple of inches of butt submerged?

There was a massive rumble of thunder about 5am this morning. The missus has her baby shower on the weekend, this rain had better stop or there are going to be 1000 clucky women hovering around the house.

Stu,

Keep them upside down so they drain, that's all you can really do I'm afraid without making it a major operation.

I think Courty uses some spray or gel that he puts into the shaft:-s to keep it from rusting.

Maybe a good whack with WD-40 would be a good idea ?

I copped a heavy downpour on the 16th hole this morning.

Yeah, I use lanolin oil to protect the shafts because they rust very quickly in the humidity. I only use it on the outside, but it can't hurt to squirt some inside. It just means that the sheep smell will hang around longer. ;)

Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated!

I ended up putting in a bit of metho to dry her out and then a bit of WD40 for ongoing protection.

A blokes gotta have protection these days, you never know when you might get caught up with something nasty!
